Tutor Room Policies
The goal of the tutor room is to assist students with their academics.
To better facilitate learning, the tutor room atmosphere must be one
in which all students can excel. In order to accomplish this goal,
the following tutor room policies have been established.
Tutor Room Hours: Monday-Thursday 3:30-6:30 pm
Saturdays 10:00 am - 1:00 pm
Students must arrive before 5 pm during the week and before
Noon on Saturdays.
- Upon arrival to the tutor room, each student will sign
in and inform the tutor room coordinator what subject area(s) you need
assistance with.
- While in the tutor room, you are expected to do your homework, use
the tutoring services, ask questions, and refrain from disruptive behavior.
- Be sure to bring all books and materials necessary for tutoring.
Be sure to bring old tests and papers so that you may review them with
a tutor.
- Snacks : Each student may receive two snacks during
their tutoring visit, courtesy of a USDA After-School Snack grant.*
- The tutoring room is for academic use only. Those
students
not actively working with a tutor or completing homework will be asked
to leave. Students
who continue to disrupt the tutoring room will lose tutoring and computer
privileges.
- Headphones are allowed in the computer lab only.
- Cell phones should be set on vibrate and answered in the snack room.
